How to Find the Peace of Mind
in a Fast Life
Life moves fast. Emails pile up. Phones ring constantly. Traffic frustrates. Considering the fact that everything happening around us requires our attention, it is not a wonder that one is often confused, stressed, and nothing that could be called peaceful.
However, this illusory inner peace is definitely not the harmony within, even the sat within a world poised to run like a train free and clear. With some change to our usual behavior and thought process as well as to the spaces we spend most of our time in, we can acquire the calm that we so much seek for.
The first is having a daily time for quiet. Any break at all—5 to 10 minutes—is good in that case. Rise slightly earlier and have the tea. No electronics during lunch time. Go for a short, mindful walk. Try closing your eyes and sitting down before bedtime. There are a few moments to take a deep breath and exhale evenly a few times.
Removing the many distractions and noises and allowing our stressed-out brains to relax for just a little moment is never a bad thing at all. It’s time to turn inwards and embrace a change of thought and action from dealing with external forces. Also attempt to reduce and slow some aspects of life.
